Dan Bautch

Executive Vice President - M&A & Corporate Development

Dan Bautch joined the Company in September 2021 as Executive Vice President - M&A and Corporate Development, with responsibility for sourcing and evaluating growth opportunities as well as optimizing the value of the existing generation portfolio. From 2015 to 2021, Mr. Bautch served as Managing Director of TFC Utilities overseeing principal investments in the power and utility space. Prior to that, he led Topaz Power Management’s M&A and development strategies as Senior Vice President, being a principal in the spin-merger to form Talen Energy at an enterprise value of over $5.5 billion. From 2004 to 2013, Mr. Bautch served as Vice President in Goldman Sachs & Co.’s Commodities Division, where he was a key executive of the team that grew the power asset business from scratch to 5,265 MW. Prior to that, he spent three years as Senior Associate at El Paso Corporation, where he led the valuation and analysis team that supported the North American power generation business.

Mr. Bautch has more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
